Ghostography

Some photos look like they very well could have been shot by a ghost. Some ghosts can observe people but people very rarely can see the ghost.  If these ghosts were photographers they would produce extraordinarily excellent street photos.

  If a visible human photographer can capture photos    approximating this it indicates they are skilled and accomplished. They are stealthy hunters.  They are unobtrusive anthropologists documenting the human experience in place, time and culture.  If you have the skill set for this your images are welcome in the Ghostography Group.

Why did I found this group?    I like photos where the subjects are not thinking “camera” and not trying to make a false impression of who they are or what they are feeling for the camera.     I want to provide a service that provides a collection of this variety of image for people to enjoy.

I like photos where the subjects are having non camera-thoughts and behaving as if their behavior was not being documented potentially forever.  So if you do street and shoot like a ghost your photos are welcome here.

    1.       Appropriate Photos for this group will be black and white with no selective coloring.  A global tint is OK.

    2.       Usually eyes of subjects should be visible but not engaging camera.

    3.       Subjects need to be living their lives in a public place.

    4.       Subjects must have the ability to see the camera and understand what a camera cameras purpose.
